Vivitrol is another brand name for Naltrexone,
although in this case, the medication is marketed in the form of
extended-release injectable solution. An intra-muscular injection
is usually given once in 30 days. The FDA approved Vivitrol for
the treatment of alcohol dependence in 2006.
